Bluetooth Devices

Bluetooth devices work by sending and receiving radio waves in 79 frequencies centered around 2.45ghz. These frequencies are specifically set for industrial, scientific and medical devices. These types of devices can automatically detect and connect. They use a technique called spread spectrum hopping to reduce interference with other electronic devices.

Although Bluetooth and Wi-Fi seem to function similarly, they are very different in function. Wi-fi transmits large amounts of data over long distances from computers to the Internet.

Bluetooth connects computers and devices over short distances to retrieve small amounts of data.
