Personnel safety is always the prime topic in workplaces, especially within industrial and manufacturing environments like factory and construction site. In such vast and complex places, no traditional method is efficient to ensure continuous safety and offer quick responses when facing emergency situations. There is where IoT personnel safety solutions step in, clearly displaying exact locations of every worker in real time and becoming a powerful tool for workforce protection.
In a Turkish auto parts factory, operation manager faced critical operational and safety challenges for years regarding the location and safety of every worker. The spacious layout usually includes several heavy industrial machineries, which would create physical barriers and blind spots. Manager cannot get the clear view of worker distribution across the whole factory. Also, within the factory, some hazard places are forbidden places for workers without permission. This smart solution transforms the factory into a totally real-time map, showing the clear location of every worker, thereby highly enhancing overall safety within the factory.
