Think of an Anchor Beacon as a fixed reference point. It continuously broadcasts a unique identifier that nearby devices (such as smartphones or tags) can detect. The Bluetooth Gateway, on the other hand, acts as a data bridge. It scans for nearby BLE signals from tags or beacons and uploads that data to the cloud via Wi-Fi, Ethernet, or Cellular. For most indoor positioning or navigation solutions, you only need a network of anchors. Smartphones scan signals from multiple anchors to estimate their position.
